The sawmill has integrated state-of-the-art machines that can communicate with each other, and artificial intelligence now optimises all the operations performed on the wood from a single station. Although the machines take over many tasks, they are still programmed by human hands.
The algorithms created by the new tools accurately calculate the consistency of the wood, with the aim of maximising yield and making full use of what the forest has to offer. Engineers and qualified technical staff support the sawmill in this new approach.
Production unit at Moussey
Our sawmills make full use of forest resources, recognising that every piece of wood is different. The Moussey sawmill specialises in large construction lumber such as timber framing and packaging/shuttering lumber.For three generations, the Moussey site has adapted and evolved to meet the needs of the market.
Production unit at la Petite-Raon
Since 2022, a new production unit has been set up in La Petite-Raon. It focuses on the management of small and medium-sized construction timber. This wood industry is characterised by highly innovative tools that are unique in Europe. Artificial intelligence is used at every stage of production. This innovative technology makes it possible to make full use of the raw material, thus contributing to the fight against waste.
